NEWTOWN COMMISSION 2023
An expressive, textured and dimensional abstract. This dyptych was painted as the centrepiece of a lounge room feature wall. The work is shadow box float-framed and flush hung on french cleats for a bespoke and fitted feel.

WHITEWING 2023
Whitewing (2023) is a geometric abstract-realist painting on a bespoke aluminium wall sculpture . It was inspired by the hot and thick summer sun beating on a maple zen garden and viewed from the shelter of a brise soleil. Commissioned by Nina Maya Interiors and designed, the work features exposed aerospace quality lazer cut forms, precision sheeted in thin-walled cold rolled aluminium. The large piece has been engineered to be lightweight and securely hung on a bespoke recessed cleating system.

BLACKWING 2022
Blackwing is an ambitious, large wall sculpture created for a prominent luxury residence in Potts Point NSW. The work was commissioned by Nina Maya Interiors and designed, engineered and finished by Artist Edgar Schilter. The work features aerospace quality lazer cut spars, precision sheeted in thin-walled aircraft-grade alloy. The piece is finished in a dark contemporary textured coating and the front display face is chemically etched to conservation grade. The face has been painted with traditional oil painting materials and featured multiple translucent layers. The large piece has been engineered to be lightweight and securely hung on a bespoke cleating system.

These works have garnered critical acclaim winning the North Sydney Art Prize, Hunters Hill Art Prize, Blacktown Art Prize, Lloyd Rees Memorial Art Prize and Kedumba Drawing Prize. They have been included in multiple important state collections such as the Sydney Heritage Centre Collection and the Kedumba Drawing Collection of Australian Drawings.
